One thing I know for sure...I need a creative outlet and I like to try different things. What I'm making now:
Ceramic Poppy Art - While taking a pottery class in 2004, I discovered I like hand-building better than working on the wheel. Now I make rustic ceramic poppies that I attach to chicken wire within recycled barnwood frames or embed in wax within a frame. Each poppy is formed by hand so every one is different.
Screen Printed Kid's Clothing - I took a screen printing class in 2008 and started making clothing for the children of my friends. I now sell my screen printed kid's clothes at Parts & Labour on South Congress in Austin, TX under the label Sophie Says Yes.
