The Nine Things I Miss Most About Living in San Francisco:

San Francisco bay views, including Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge, from our apartment at 1340 Lombard Street in Russian Hill.

Being able to walk to so many great neighborhoods…Union Street, Chestnut Street, Polk Street, North Beach, Chinatown...from our apartment.

Bringing Mr. Cracker to Chrissie Field, Baker Beach or Fort Funston. He loved the ocean.

Riding the cable cars.

The farmer’s market at the Ferry Building.

Taking walks around the city and admiring all the fabulous architecture.

Food! - Margarita pizza at Giorgio’s. Chicken hash at Ella’s. Pumpkin ravioli and adriatic style gamberi at L'Osteria Del Forno. Chicken clay pot at The Slanted Door. Szechuan green beans and chili crusted calamari at Betelnut. Dim sum at Yank Sing. Crab salad at Swan Oyster Depot. Yummy, creamy seafood dishes at Tadich Grill. Interesting sorbetto and gelato flavors + s'mores brownies at Citizen Cake. Caramel truffles at XOX Truffles. April 2010 Update - Citizen Cake is now closed.

Exploring the unique, eclectic, sometimes odd selection at Swallowtail on Polk Street and the exquisite (and pricey) goods at Conor Fennessy on Columbus Avenue.  April 2010 Update - Swallowtail is now closed.

Perfect autumn days after a chilly summer.
